'tis the season

here ye here ye!!!

the holiday season is upon us once again...

and while this is one of my favorite seasons of the year, it is also one of the more annoying times of the year for those whose daily transgressions carry us into the city. even though, i've been to a few other truly global cities & the dollar of the city is about as strong abroad as the shrub's vocabulary... the city is none other than NY, NY which includes 5 boroughs... however, the one i'm referring to in my blog today is manhattan...

while i'm fortunate enough to work in a less congested part of the city, the upper east side... i still must traverse the city in for daily tasks, such as going home. now, i'm not sure if the holidays bring everyone out from every dwelling crevice feasible... or if this is the time for visiting the greatest city in the world, with one of the worst currencies...

moving on to things more alluring than our currency's exchange rate...

the other night, during my venture to pick up friends to attend a holiday party in brooklyn i had to make a trip across 50th... from west of 8th avenue traveling east past 3rd avenue... it took almost an hour!!! the throngs of tourists and other folks that have taken residency in the city and made travel unbearable... i have more pleasureable trips to the dentist for oral surgery.

not that we don't enjoy the revenue stream... but the congestion is almost a deterrent to going out, at least in areas where lots of tourist frequent...

well, i must depart to try and locate a less congested part of the city...
